The Origins Golf Club at Watersound Origins community is now offering FootGolf, a new sport that combines the skills of soccer with the rules of golf.
Players kick a regulation #5 soccer ball, one stroke at a time, into 21-inch diameter cups on an 9-hole course. The player who gets the fewest strokes over the course of the game wins.
FootGolf is just one of many new developments lined up for Watersound Origins, a residential community located just three miles from the South Walton beaches and Northwest Florida’s Scenic Highway 30A. Slated for completion in 2017, the community’s second development phase is now available for purchase. These new additions will further enhance the unique outdoor amenities that are offered to Watersound Origins homeowners and to the surrounding community.
FootGolf is offered daily from 1 – 5 p.m. and is charged at $10 per person (public or guests) with $3 per ball rental. It is open to ages 7 and up. Although all skill levels are welcome, children must be accompanied by an adult. Golf attire is preferred.
