30A’s fifth annual Locals Last Stand party will be held Sunday, May 21, 2017. It’s one last chance to enjoy South Walton before the mad dash of the summer tourism season kicks off!
This year, local favorites Duck Phat, Mose Wilson and the Delta Twang, and The Wide Open will perform during the FREE party at Watersound Origins.
“After the frenzy of Spring Break, locals work very hard to get ready for summer,” said The 30A Company’s Mike Ragsdale.
“Locals Last Stand is one last chance for us to celebrate together as locals before our summer guests arrive in full force.”
The inaugural Locals Last Stand was held in 2013 and featured Dread Clampitt, The Forrest Williams Band and Cadillac Willy. In 2014, the party featured music by The Scott Rockwood Trio, Boukou Groove and The Wildlife Specials. 2015 featured Geoff McBride, The Owsley Brothers and Zack Rosicka.
Last year’s event drew the biggest crowd yet for Shatzi + The String Boffin, The Rips, and Hubba Hubba.
This year’s party will be even bigger and better, featuring three incredible performances, food and family-friendly activities.
Bring lawn chairs, blankets, bug spray and a cooler to enjoy an afternoon and evening of fun on the green lawn at Watersound Origins. The fun starts at 3 p.m. and runs until 7 p.m.
Bring your own beverages, if you’d like, or there will be some for sale at the nearby Watersound Cafe.
Feel free to pack a picnic or visit food truck row and grab a bite from Big Red Truck, Dog Man Du, Tikiz Shaved Ice and Ice Cream, Sweet Henrietta’s, Dippin Dots and more.

— The Locals Last Stand party is FREE and open to the public.
— Bring a chair, cooler, blanket or anything else you like to enjoy a fun evening of music.
