Seaside Half Marathon Returns March 4th

Kick off Spring Break season with the Seaside Half Marathon & 5K Run the first weekend of March in the charming town of Seaside. Presented by Vera Bradley, the popular race is a benefit for the Seaside School, a tuition-free, local neighborhood school for students across Walton County. The Seaside School serves over 330 students from fifth through twelfth grades and currently looking to add grades K-4.

 

 

Scheduled for March 4th, races include a half marathon for ages 14 and up, an adult 5k and a children’s 5k for ages 6 to 13. The race courses are fast and mostly flat with starts in downtown Seaside and routes along Scenic Highway 30A. The scenic half marathon passes the beach communities of Watercolor, Grayton, Blue Mountain Beach, and Santa Rosa Beach with a turnaround point at Gulf Place. Click Here for more race info.

 

In addition to the race, weekend events include the annual Taste of the Race on March 2nd with Chef Emeril Lagasse. Enjoy an evening of fantastic cuisine from Emeril’s Coastal Italian restaurant plus other area favorites Great Southern Café, The Bay, Stinky’s Fish Camp, Bud & Alley’s and more. The outdoor event includes fine wine, craft spirits and local craft beer as well as live music. A special VIP reception with Chefs Emeril Lagasse, Jim Shirley and Jim Richard proceeds the event.
