Confession, Aladdin ranks up there with my favorite Disney animated films of all time. So, you can imagine my excitement when it was announced that a live-action remake was in the works (as are pretty much all the animated classics.)

Today, we have our first look…

Unlike the upcoming Tim Burton adaptation of “Dumbo,” this looks like it plans to follow the original film to the T. Director Guy Ritchie made a choice to cast relatively unknown actors to fill the roles of Aladdin and Jasmine and Will Smith will be portraying Robin Williams’ iconic Genie. Smith confirmed in an instagram post earlier this week that he will indeed be blue.

Color me excited.
