Anyone interested in becoming a University of Florida/IFAS Walton County Master Gardener?  If so, please join the Walton County Master Gardeners for a prospective Master Gardener volunteer orientation day on Thursday, August 15th from 10:00 am – Noon at the UF/IFAS Walton County Extension Office, 732 N 9th St, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435.

At the orientation, learn what a Florida Master Gardener is, become familiar with the mission, discover all the volunteer, community service and continuing education opportunities offered, find out what the course and program requirements are, meet county Master Gardener Coordinator Daniel Leonard and many current volunteers, and ultimately decide if it’s right fit. To register for the orientation, call (850)-892-8172 or email haneyc@ufl.edu to reserve a spot. There is no cost to attend the orientation and light refreshments will be provided.
