Whether you are looking for a family friendly New Year’s Eve or a night out on the town, Pier Park is the place to be with the annual New Year’s Eve Beach Ball Drop on December 31, 2019 with not one, but TWO chances to welcome the new year! Gather on the streets for the ultimate party with free live music, entertainment, fireworks and happy faces.

The evening starts at 5:30pm with local legends The Barry Fish Band on stage in front of the Celebration Tower. Traffic is closed on the streets of Pier Park to ensure a safe experience for all during the New Year’s Eve Beach Ball drop and related events creating one of the largest street festivals for miles with fun geared to all ages.

At 8pm, celebrate the first countdown to 2020 with the Kids’ Beach Ball Drop where 10,000 inflated beach balls descend on the crowd and the first round of captivating fireworks fills the sky. Next, party band PaperWork takes the main stage at 10pm followed by the high energy band After Park Experience to keep spirits festive until the new year.

As the clock ticks closer to 2020, the Celebration Tower becomes the epicenter of festivities where one of the world’s largest beach ball (nearly ten feet in diameter!) prepares to drop making Panama City Beach one of the most unique New Year’s tradition anywhere along the Northwest Florida Gulf Coast. After the ball drops, enjoy a second round of spectacular fireworks over the Gulf of Mexico.
