SANTA ROSA BEACH — Officials representing two state agencies are investigating the destruction of trees within Topsail Hill Preserve State Park West End 30A Garett Barry 30 May at 23:05 *IF YOU LIVE ON 30-A PLEASE SHARE THIS VIDEO* Today I noticed a strange buzzing noise coming from the Topsail Hill Preserve State Park and pulled out my binoculars only to see a tree toppling away in the distance. I couldn’t believe my eyes but then it happened again. I thought maybe it was a park ranger doing maintenance, but it was a late Saturday afternoon and that didn’t seem right. Turns out four fully camoed individuals equipped with electric chainsaws and hardhats were cutting down trees within the Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, most likely to allow for a better view of the beach for homeowners. Whoever did this should be ashamed of their actions. Please watch and share the following video of the individuals caught red handed. If anyone recognizes any of these people please call Officer Heath Nichols with Florida Fish and Wildlife at 850-252-7750.
