Real estate sales were HOT in August on the Forgotten Coast with 72 single family homes closed and 126 pending or contingent properties across the key communities of Apalachicola, Cape San Blas/Indian Pass, Carrabelle, Mexico Beach/St. Joe Beach, Port St. Joe and St. George Island. St. George Island had the highest number of transactions for the month with 18 closings and was also the location of the highest priced property to sell during August with an eight bedroom beachfront home in closing at $2.15 million.
