October brings cooler temperatures, plenty of sunshine, and lots of festivals to the Emerald Coast! Whether you’re local and looking for something to do or planning a trip to explore this special coast, there’s fun to be found from South Walton to Destin.

Destin Seafood Festival
October 1st – 3rd
Destin Harbor

After many years, the 43rd Annual Destin Seafood Festival returns to its original location on the Destin Harbor! Coinciding with the Destin Fishing Rodeo, the festival is a tribute to the rich history of the Destin Harbor. Enjoy fireworks, arts, crafts, fresh local food, kids’ activities, live music, and more at this FREE festival!


ArtsQuest Fine Arts Festival
October 8th – 10th
Grand Boulevard

Love art? Then the 33rd Annual ArtsQuest Fine Arts Festival is the place for you! Presented by Grand Boulevard Town Center, ArtsQuest provides an opportunity to view and purchase original art from over 150 artists from around the country.


Baytowne Wharf Beer Fest
October 8th—9th
Baytowne Wharf

The Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin presents the 13th Annual Baytowne Wharf Beer Fest featuring American specialty beers from around the nation for attendees to sample and savor. The Saturday main event will showcase more than 200 domestic and international craft beers available for sampling, brewery representatives, and live music.


Eggs on the Beach
October 16th
Seascape Resort

Join in for a mouthwatering afternoon at the 7th Annual Big Green Egg EggFest Cooking Competition at the Seascape Resort in Miramar Beach. Teams will be smoking and grilling their favorite dishes while tasters vote for their favorites. In addition, enjoy live music, a ENCO Sports Zone, Knob Creek Craft Cocktail Seminars, a charity raffle, and more. Event proceeds benefit the Fisher House of the Emerald Coast and Food for Thought.


The Market Shops Bloody Mary Festival
October 23rd
The Market Shops

The Market Shops will host its Sixth Annual Bloody Mary Festival benefiting Habitat for Humanity – Walton County. For a $40 ticket donation, sample unlimited tastes of South Walton’s most creative and innovative bloody marys made with Distillery 98’s Dune Laker Vodka and served by the finest restaurants and bars on the Emerald Coast. A panel of select food critics and local celebrities will judge each bloody mary to award the most delicious and most creative, and there will also be a highly coveted first-, second-, and third-place People’s Choice Award voted by festival attendees!


RUN WATERSOUND 5K & Film Festival
October 30th – 31st
Watersound Origins

The first ever RUN WATERSOUND 5K & Film Festival is a two-day event celebrating running in all of its forms! On Saturday, enjoy a special showing of “Run Nation,” a series of running inspired documents filmed around the world. Sunday morning, compete in a 5K run beginning at the Watersound Town Center and then winding through the beautiful Watersound Origins community.
