Runners can now register for the second annual 30A Half Marathon and 5K, which will take place October 15, 2017.
The race, put on by The Sonder Project, a global nonprofit organization in Santa Rosa Beach, will start and end at Gulf Place, taking runners along 13.1 miles of beautiful Scenic Highway 30-A. The turnaround point will be the Boathouse at Watercolor Inn & Resort.

The weekend’s events will kick off with a barbecue and beer festival on Friday. Guests can vote for the best barbecue on the Emerald Coast. Oh, and there’s beer! The race expo and packet pick-up will be held Saturday, also at Gulf Place.

All race proceeds will benefit The Sonder Project’s mission to change the world through high-impact, sustainable projects aimed at ending extreme poverty and fighting hunger locally, domestically and abroad.

The Sonder Project’s international projects include building schools to educate boys and girls, providing safe drinking water and coordinating de-worming campaigns to enable healthy children to thrive and learn.
Domestically, the organization’s Project: feed program helps feed the hungry here in the U.S. by bringing vacation rental companies together to collect non-perishable food items that are left behind when visitors check-out of their rental units.

All finishers receive a race t-shirt and finisher’s medal. Celebrate your victory at the post-race party featuring live music. Half Marathon starts at 7 a.m. 5K starts at 7:25.
