SUSPECT FLEES AFTER WCSO DEPUTIES ATTEMPT TO SERVE WARRANTS; WCSO AIR ONE DEPLOYED

Mossy Head, Fla–Walton County Sheriff’s Office is actively pursuing Shane Bryan Colton, 25, after deputies attempted to serve him with outstanding warrants out of Okaloosa County.

Walton County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to serve Colton at a residence on East Laurel Lane following a tip regarding his whereabouts. Deputies met Colton as he was attempting to flee the area in a vehicle and a short pursuit ensued. Colton wrecked the vehicle at the end of Girl Scout Road. WCSO Air One is en route, WCSO K9 Unit is on scene, and Walton CI K9’s are en route.

Colton’s outstanding warrants out of Okaloosa County include:

  • Felony aggravated battery with a weapon
  • Robbery with a firearm
  • Aggravated assault
  • Driving while license suspended
  • Simple assault on LEO

Colton is described as a white male, wearing blue jeans, with short hair. If you come into contact with the suspect you are asked NOT to approach him, but to call your local law enforcement agency immediately.
