Our area is rich in musical talent, mixing rising talent with headliners in almost all genres of music. 30ATV has covered and archived many music events, and interviewed Hall of Fame inductees such as John Oates, and Grammy winners like Kristian Bush. More satisfying though, can be watching performers grow, expand their talent as well as their reach among the many great venues in the area.

This time of year welcomes the Gulf Coast Jam, with headliners from the best in country music, including some local connections such as Luke Bryan, and hopefully Luke Langford and the 331 band. 30A TV will be covering the event again with our popular show “Backstage with Cortni” with show host Cortni Bird, a rising country singer herself. The show contains music snippets from the Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam backstage along with insightful interviews, revealing things about the artists you may not know.

The local SOWAL-LIFE  music scene is so vibrant, full of talent, and great venues. Catch on to the locals “Sunday Funday” action from the Red Bar early in the day to the Local Catch later in the day, with multiple choice Brunch opportunities. Be sure to catch Bryan Kennedy at the Seaside Rep  – Bryan has written several songs for Garth Brooks, and is currently his tour road manager – as Bryan would say, “True Story”. Redds Fueling Station in Blue Mountain Beach was the first place Bryan played when he came to the 30A area. Redds Friday night live “shotmaker night” has placed host to several first time bands such as the Graytones, Mose Wilson and the Delta Twang. The next opportunity to catch both these great newcomers is at The Bay and Borago Yolo throwdown September 5th.

Upcoming at The Hub 30A is Willie Nelson’s granddaughter with the Raelyn Nelson Band. Raelyn baulked at the obvious door opening opportunity, instead signing with an independent producer to form a new sound they call Country Garage Band Rock. 30ATV is grateful to be able to capture these great artists as they paint the colors of  Sowal and 30A, music is the heartbeat of a community and it is alive and thriving here.
