Two men charged in home invasion robbery

SHALIMAR — The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has charged two Fort Walton Beach men in connection with a home invasion robbery in Shalimar last August.

Dominic Dyett, 24, of Green Acres Road, and Anthony Jackson, 23, of Beach Drive, are charged with home invasion robbery, grand theft of a firearm and grand theft, according to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office. Dyett also is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Investigators said the men entered a home on Fawn Lane about 2:30 a.m. Aug. 5 armed with guns and threatened the people inside.

Dyett and Jackson allegedly stole jewelry, a handgun and magazines, a Mason jar with marijuana and other items.

During a fight with one of the victims, Dyett bit the man, the release said. He also struck another victim in the head with the end of a firearm.

Additional arrests are possible, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
