The WCSBA promotes and supports the interests of local small and family-owned businesses in Walton County.  The WCSBA recently invested in a STARS (Scholarship Tuition for At-Risk Students) scholarship through the Take Stock in Children Scholarship and Mentoring Program.  “All funds donated to our scholarship are matched dollar for dollar by the State of Florida through the STARS program”, said M. H. Carr, Executive Director of Walton Education Foundation.

WCSBA scholarship chairman Neill O’Connell said, “One of our primary goals is to grow, advance and maintain a sound economic business environment here in Walton County.  One that supports existing jobs and creates future job opportunities, not only for adults but also for Walton County students who graduate and want to go to college but who may struggle financially”.
