WALTON COUNTY, Fla— Things are getting hairy in Walton County.

No Shave November is back. The effort is a month-long jaunt during which participants forgo shaving and grooming in order to evoke conversation and raise cancer awareness.

Walton County Sheriff’s Office has joined the fun helping raise funds to be donated to Cancer Freeze, a local charity supporting those with cancer in our area.

Agency members who wish to participate donate $30 and must wear a pin creating buzz around the peach fuzz.

“Our employees, especially the deputies, love this time of year,” said Sheriff Michael Adkinson. “They look forward to being able to grow a beard during the month of November. It boosts morale and builds camaraderie.”

Listen carefully. That’s the not so subtle sound of razors dropping all across Walton County
