We’re less than a month into 2019 and the tides of the internet have already begun to shift for the better. Of course, I’m referring the “World Record Egg” that officially dethroned Kylie Jenner as the most liked Instagram post of all time.

Yes, a photo of an egg has garnered over 18 million likes on Instagram and claimed a spot in internet history.

The account named @world_record_egg contains only one picture of said egg with the caption, “Let’s make this the most liked photo on Instagram.” It seems the internet has obliged the egg’s humble request.

Let this be a reminder to all Kardashians/Jenners/Famous People as a whole that the internet can be a very humbling place. Kylie has responded to the dethroning by sharing footage of herself cooking an egg on the concrete.

Here’s hoping the world record egg has a solid security team.
