March 2020 will forever be marked by the onset of COVID-19 yet despite the widespread national economic impacts from the virus, our market still experienced activity with consistent closings and new contracts, although lower than typical for this time. There were 58 new contracts for homes and condos combined while 121 properties closed in the 30A Beaches real estate market, and this month included the highest sales of the year with two separate properties closing at $6.2 million.

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Beach Properties of Florida recorded over $40 million in sales volume in the 30A Beaches market with 41 transaction sides.

Two individual properties became the highest priced single family homes to sell for both the month and year-to-date at $6.2 million. The first was a Gulf front home in Seagrove Beach with  4 bedrooms, over 4,500 square feet and 61 feet of beach frontage with a private gated walkover. The second was a 4 bedroom Gulf view home with 4,230 square feet located in the iconic Alys Beach community.

The highest priced condo sold was a 3 bedroom Gulf front unit in The Crossings that closed at $1.825 million in the WaterSound Beach community.
