A trip to the Forgotten Coast is not complete without a visit to the Indian Pass Raw Bar. Off the beaten path, this unassuming seafood shack has been touted by fans near and far for its welcoming come-as-you-are atmosphere and deliciously simple fare such as fresh Apalachicola oysters steamed or raw, stuffed shrimp and gumbo.

Demolished by Hurricane Michael, the Raw Bar had just reopened after months of anticipation in March 2020 with a ribbon cutting ceremony and then had to revert to take-out only service per statewide orders by the Governor for restaurants for COVID-19. As of May 5th, the restaurant will reopen its doors once again to customers at 25% indoor capacity and outdoor seating on a brand new patio.

What sets the Raw Bar apart? A longstanding Forgotten Coast institution, the Raw Bar is a place where you can walk up straight from a day at the beach, grab your own cold drink from the wall-to-wall cooler and be treated like an old friend, whether you’re local or not. Many a memory has been made on the front porch where crowds gather for karaoke contests or to take in the tunes of a local musician.
