May was another busy month for the Forgotten Coast real estate market in the key communities of Apalachicola, Cape San Blas/Indian Pass, Carrabelle, Mexico Beach/St. Joe Beach, Port St. Joe, and St. George Island. There were 76 properties closed during the month with 151 properties currently under contract. Cape San Blas/Indian Pass and St. George Island tied for the highest number of transactions for the month with 18 closings. The highest priced property to sell was a gulf front home in Turtle Beach Village on St. George Island closing at $3.45 million. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Beach Properties of Florida represented the seller in this transaction, which was also the second highest priced property to sell on the island year-to-date.
