BEACH CLEANUP – Saturday September 18th at 9:00 am.
In past years, Walton County residents and visitors have turned out in large numbers to support the cleaning of our beaches and subsequently the Gulf. Each piece of debris collected is one more piece of trash saved from our ocean systems. We think this year can be equally effective with your help and presence in this community cleanup. Join the Coastal Seniors of South Walton (CSSW) at the Ed Wallline Beach Access at W. Co. Hwy 30A and Co. Hwy 393. Trash bags and gloves will be available. Please let the CSSW know if you will participate and if you have any questions by contacting Sherrie at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 850-280-5342.
FRIDAYS WITH FRIENDS and our monthly programs will not be held in September. We hope to resume in October.
COASTAL SENIORS BOOK CLUB – VIRTUAL VIA ZOOM (see our website calendar for a link to meeting on the day of the meeting) –The second Wednesday of each month – September 8th from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Join the Coastal Seniors of South Walton (CSSW) to discuss books you’ve enjoyed by participating in an online book club once a month. You choose your own book – there will be no assigned books for all to read. Each participant will have up to 5 minutes to share the book they read and their thoughts about it. Should members want to exchange books they can drop one they’ve read at our offices at 70 Logan Lane in Grayton Beach and pick up another there to read.
PICKLE BALL COURTS COMING TO SOUTH WALTON – Stayed tuned for the ground-breaking ceremony on the construction of a battery of four asphalt pickleball courts to be located at the west end of the Walton Sports Complex. Check our website and Facebook page for more information. The Walton County Sports Complex is located directly north of Dunes Lakes Elementary School at 6435 US Hwy 98 (east of US 331 and west of Inlet Beach).
