“You know a dream is like a river, ever changing as it flows. And a dreamer’s just a vessel that must follow where it goes, trying to learn from what’s behind you and never knowing what’s in store, makes each day a constant battle just to stay between the shores.” -Garth Brooks
Everywhere around and inside of us experiences change, constantly. As physical beings our bodies are creating new cells each day. Our bodies want optimal performance and ability and are moving us towards that, whether we are aware of it or not. The earth is in constant change from summer to fall, fall to winter, winter to spring. Our lives are moving, even if we can still the moments, we are in constant forward motion. From our bodies to our spirits, to the earth we live in, change is a way of life. Nothing stays the same or cannot live without this flow. We can try to resist it or force it into another direction that we feel it ought to go. But ultimately our bodies sub consciously already know the way, our spirit’s do too. We are in motion towards our highest selves.
We are beings of change. Accepting our lives and how they change around us, and how we change within is beautiful to be a witness too. Gently observing how far we have come, and grown and journeyed, is an eye-opening experience. It helps to pat our own backs and be proud of our evolution however slow or fast it comes. Like riding in a boat, going with the flow, and allowing our paths to lighten up right before our eyes. Fear can cause resistance. Feeling like a creature of habit and being comfortably numb with our choices and trying to live in that stagnant energy, will only ‘seemingly’ hold you back.
Seemingly because, we might think we have grounded our feet and are not moving, but it’s impossible. Even though we might stand in one place, movement surrounds us externally and internally. The only thing stopping the flow is the thoughts you think. So instead of trying to grab a hold of the things you think you need, go with the flow, allow change to happen and see where it takes you. You might be surprised that you end up exactly where you were meant to be. Be a vessel, journeying towards your dreams. Allow life to move you in new ways. Releasing the notion in your mind that it’s all in your control, and letting life show you a world that’s been patiently waiting for you to just flow. Change is a blessing. Bless you!
