This year’s benefiting organization is the Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance (CBA), who is responsible for sustaining healthy local waterways through monitoring, education, restoration, and research. For 20 years, CBA has promoted water stewardship within the Choctawhatchee watershed, growing the network of supporters who join in CBA’s mission to provide a future for these precious, natural resources.

“Here at the Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance, we are committed to education, monitoring, and restoration efforts on our rare coastal dune lakes. So, this fun event that showcases Western Lake and encourages folks to get out and enjoy the beautiful dune lake ecosystem is a perfect fit for our organization. It is a privilege to be this year’s beneficiary for the 3rd Annual South Walton RUN/SUP Series,” says Alison McDowell, Director, CBA.
