June Sales in Review · Forgotten Coast

Real estate sales slowed slightly on the Forgotten Coast during June in the key communities of Apalachicola, Cape San Blas/Indian Pass, Carrabelle, Mexico Beach/St. Joe Beach, Port St. Joe, and St. George Island. There were 58 single family homes closed during the month with 72 properties currently under contract. Sales rose slightly in the Panama City Beach real estate market during June with 239 properties closed for homes and condominiums combined and 123 properties placed under contract. In the Panama City market, activity slightly decreased with 58 homes sold and 47 new contracts. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Beach Properties of Florida was in the top 5 sales agencies for Panama City Beach earning over $12 million in sales volume with 20.5 transaction sides in Panama City Beach and nearly $16 million in sales volume in Bay County. The highest priced condo closed in Panama City Beach was a gulf front, three-bedroom residence in En Soleil at $1.05 million. The highest priced single-family home to sell in Panama City Beach was a gulf front, six-bedroom home at $4.5 million. The highest priced single family home to sell in Panama City was a bay front, five-bedroom home in Bunkers Cove at $1.725 million. Sales remained steady in the Destin and Miramar Beach real estate markets during June with 152 properties closed and 87 new contracts secured for homes and condos combined. On Okaloosa Island, there were no single-family home sales however 15 condos sold while 20 were placed under contract. In Navarre Beach, sales increased with 17 single-family homes and condos combined closed and 7 properties placed under contract. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Beach Properties of Florida recorded over $105 million in sales volume across Walton and Okaloosa counties during June. A bay front, four-bedroom home in Regatta Bay was the highest priced single-family home to sell in Destin at $4.1 million while the highest priced property to close in Miramar Beach was a lake front, five-bedroom residence in Burnt Pine in the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort at $2.98 million.  The highest priced condo sold in Destin was a gulf front, three-bedroom residence in 1900 Ninety Eight for $2.8 million. A gulf view, three-bedroom unit in One Beach Club Drive was the highest priced condo to sell in Miramar Beach at $2.125 million. The highest priced condo to close on Okaloosa Island during June was a gulf front, three-bedroom unit in Breakers for $930,000. June sales remained similar to the previous month in the 30A Beaches real estate market with 115 homes and condominiums closed and 75 new contracts. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Beach Properties of Florida led the 30A Beaches market in transactions during June closing nearly $77 million in sales volume with 46.5 transaction sides.
