Double Red Flag Conditions

(Santa Rosa Beach)- Due to high surf and very strong rip currents, double red beach flags are now flying in South Walton.

Double red beach flags indicate that the surf conditions are extremely hazardous and the water is CLOSED to the public. Entering the water during this time can result in a fine, injury or death.

These conditions are forecast to continue until Wednesday morning July 27th, 2016 at which time they will be re-evaluated. Until then, the South Walton Fire District will closely monitor the conditions. We ask that you also continue to monitor the conditions and adhere to all the warnings.
