Taylor County Deputy Robert Lundy is a hero — an unsung hero to many. In 2014 Deputy Lundy was shot and nearly killed by a gunman at a auto dealership in Perry, Florida. He was able to neutralized the threat for many others. But from that day forward his life would be at risk for months. He was given a 3% chance of living. After overcoming all odds his injuries would leave him partially blind forcing him to retire from law enforcement. Less than two years later tragedy would strike again when Hurricane Hermine destroyed the place he and his wife Kelly and their two daughters, age 5 and 10, called home.

Walton County Sheriff’s Office employees would raise $1000 dollars and drive more than 100 miles to meet Deputy Lundy and provide his family some relief. We are family. All of us. One family.
