DESTIN — About 30 children dressed in their favorite Halloween costumes and “cheesed” for the cameras as they winded their way through rows of books during the 13th annual Children’s Halloween Parade at the Destin Library.
Parents and their children, some intermittently crying, strolled through the library and collected gift bags provided by anonymous donors and coupons from Jim ‘N Nicks BBQ Restaurant.
Will Rogers, the reference and youth services librarian, opened the parade with a thanks to the volunteers while dressed as the Mad Hatter from “Alice in Wonderland.”
