NICEVILLE — A fire that began in a bedroom destroyed a moble home Wednesday morning.

“We had a fire mainly in the center of the bedroom about halfway down the trailer that quickly spread throughout the trailer,” Niceville Fire Chief Tommy Mayville said.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze in about 5 minutes as police blocked the intersection of Madison Road and Crestview Avenue.

An investigator from the State Fire Marshal’s Office was headed to the scene as of 11 a.m. to determine the cause of the fire.  

Crews from Eglin Air Force Base, East Niceville and North Bay fire departments assisted with the call.
