Mossy Head, FL— Walton County Fire Rescue Firefighters respond to a residential fire on Patch Road and discover a fully engulfed mobile home.
Walton County Fire Rescue crews arrived on scene just after 9:30 AM this morning and quickly began extinguishing the blaze encompassing the home of a Walton County family. The residents made it out of the mobile home safely and no injuries were reported. One of the residents was able to rescue one of the family’s two pet dogs, but unfortunately, they lost the second dog and a pet blue jay in the fire.
The exact cause of the fire is undetermined at this time, but it is believed the fire may have been caused by a lamp that had fallen over onto the bed. The American Red Cross was called out to assist the residents of the disintegrated home.
