Staff report
A tractor-trailer that overturned on Interstate 10 early Wednesday left an estimated 60,000 pounds of Busch beer scattered along the highway.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol press release, Michael Nolan Powell, 44, of Simpsonville, South Carolin, was traveling west on I-10 at 2:40 a.m. when he lost control near Holt. The semi traveled onto the north shoulder and overturned onto its passenger side.
Almost 30 tons of the Busch beer were left along the highway, the FHP reported.
Powell, who suffered minor injuries, was cited for reckless driving. There was no mention in the release of clean-up plans.
