As recovery continues in the areas most affected by Hurricane Michael in both Bay and Gulf Counties, it is a critical time for those involved in policy making and regulation in all local industries to help shape the future and direction of these beloved Gulf Coast communities. We’re thrilled to announce the appointment of two of our team members, Amanda Corbin of Bay County and Bill Peevy of Gulf County as Directors to the Leadership Team on each of their respective boards. Corbin and Peevy were each elected to serve a two-year term in their new roles.

With over 15 years of experience selling real estate in Bay County, Amanda Corbin is returning to the role of Director after serving a previous term in 2015. She completed the Leadership Academy in 2013 and has been active member in the Central Panhandle Association of Realtors (CPAR) achieving Sterling R status as a major investor in 2016.

“Being a part of the committee is very important to me because I see how Realtors having a group voice politically truly impacts our industry. Committees make the decisions that drive our associations, and I am passionate about representing CPAR over the next two years,” said Corbin.

While this will be Bill Peevy’s first term as a Director for the Realtors Association of Franklin & Gulf Counties (RAFGC), he has been a longstanding leader of the Gulf County community with over 20 years of experience as a Realtor in addition to his invaluable support of local organizations.

“I am honored to be chosen, and I’m honored to serve! I hope to help our Board, sub-committees and all our members in any way I can and promote the decisions and actions of our board and Florida Realtors. With many in our community still suffering the effects of Hurricane Michael, it is also important for RAFGC to continue its active role in helping local homeowners and Realtors with their recovery,” said Peevy.

Despite the devastation of the storm, Peevy has witnessed a rejuvenation of the market with new investors coming into the area along with an increase in demand for non-damaged properties. “We are looking forward to a banner year for growth and the new development that is coming. Hurricane Michael has brought a heightened awareness to our beautiful area, and I anticipate a healthy market in the years to come,” Peevy adds.
