The Matrix Community Outreach Center, Inc. Celebrates Selection as a Community Bag Program Beneficiary at Winn Dixie DFS, FL

DeFuniak Springs, FL – Matrix Community Outreach Center, Inc, a non-profit committed to improving lives and helping to grow strong and healthy communities, has been selected as a beneficiary of the Community Bag Program for the month of April at a local Winn Dixie store.

The Community Bag Program, which launched in January 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the community in which shoppers live and work. The program features two reusable Community Bag with a special Giving Tag attached to it that allows customers to direct a donation to a non-profit of their choice upon purchase.

The Matrix COC was selected as the April beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Winn Dixie located at 1030 US HIGHWAY 331 SOUTH, SUITE G, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435. The Matrix COC will receive a $1 donation every time either of the reusable Community Bags are purchased at this location during April unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag.

The two colorful reusable Community Bags with the Giving Tag can be found on the reusable bag rack at the store. The key is to look for the bags with a tag that features a blue heart with $1 in it.

We hope that citizens will take this opportunity to help us continue our mission while also helping the environment,” said Candy Nowling, Executive Director. “Your donations this month will help us to provide for children in our area with clothing, educational, medical and other basic daily needs..”

The Matrix COC has a goal of raising $1000.00 during April. The Matrix COC plans to use the projected funds to benefit children in need in our community.
