MEXICO BEACH HOSTS FIRST FISHING TOURNAMENT SINCE HURRICANE MICHAEL 8th Annual GollyWhopper Classic: June 21-22, 2019

WHAT:
Mexico Beach, a destination known for its vast fishing opportunities, is gearing up to host its first fishing tournament of the summer and first tournament since Hurricane Michael- the 8th Annual GollyWhopper Classic. Anglers of all skill levels from around the Southeast and beyond will take to the Gulf in search of red snapper, kingfish, and grouper. A kid’s tournament (ages 14 & under) and a captain’s party, plus live music and more festivities make this a great family weekend.

WHEN:
Friday, June 21 at 5 p.m.
Captain’s Party, including live music & food
Saturday, June 22 from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Weigh-in, including live music & food

Mexico Beach Boat Ramp

ENTRY FEES:
$100 minimum – $10,000 maximum (donation)
*All proceeds will go towards rebuilding of the Mexico Beach pier and the canal project. No prize money will be awarded this year, with the exception of the target weight entry category.
