DeFuniak Springs, Fla — Firefighters battle a blaze engulfing a three-story home in DeFuniak Springs just before dawn Saturday morning.
Around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 23rd, a 911 call promptly dispatched Walton County Fire Rescue, DeFuniak Springs Fire Department, Argyle Volunteer Fire Department, Liberty Volunteer Fire Department, and the Walton County Sheriff’s Office to a residential fire on Corbin Gainey Road. The caller reported seeing smoke and flames coming from a nearby home. First responders arrived on scene to find the three-story house fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters battled the blaze for over an hour before the fire was contained. Fortunately, no residents were home at the time that the fire broke out.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. The State Fire Marshal’s Office was contacted to investigate the origin of the fire.
