Real estate closings in the Forgotten Coast market remained steady during May 2020 while contracts experienced a resurgence of activity after the stall from the onset of the pandemic. There were 33 single family homes closed and 105 pending or contingent properties (up from 50 in April) across the key communities of Apalachicola, Cape San Blas/Indian Pass, Carrabelle, Mexico Beach/St. Joe Beach, Port St. Joe and St. George Island. St. George Island had the highest number of closings for the month while the highest priced property to sell during May was a Gulf front home in the Cape Breezes community on Cape San Blas.
