South Walton visitors and residents will soon have a new option for lodging, dining, and shopping with both a new boutique hotel and shopping center coming soon to Seagrove Beach. The St. Joe Company and BRW MidGrove, LLC (“BRW”) recently announced a joint venture to construct a new boutique hotel called The Lodge 30A on Scenic Highway 30A adjacent to Greenway Station, a planned mixed-use development.

The Lodge 30A is projected to be a picturesque three-story hotel with a fitness center and an outdoor pool. The architecture and interior design concepts will take inspiration from the natural surroundings and use natural materials in a modern way. The planned Greenway Station development is adjacent to the Point Washington State Forest and will offer a trailhead to access the state forest’s network of hiking and biking trails.

 “This Seagrove Beach location will offer guests an opportunity to stay in the heart of the popular Scenic Highway 30A corridor, just minutes from the Gulf of Mexico and its white-sand beaches,” said Patrick Murphy, Senior Vice President of Hospitality for St. Joe in a press release about the project. “Last year, more than four million travelers vacationed in the area, a number that has been on the rise for several years. This planned hotel provides another option for future travelers as they discover this incredible destination and explore the area’s natural beauty.”

Site development for both projects is expected to begin immediately with the hotel being ready for guests in early 2022. The Lodge 30A will be managed by by St. Joe Resort Operations, LLC (“St. Joe Hospitality), a subsidiary of St. Joe. Plans for Greenway Station include multiple restaurants and shops.
