Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Beach Properties of Florida announced the promotion of veteran sales executive Marilue Maris to managing broker for the agency’s Destin location. Maris will be joining the executive team with a focus on building customer relationships in Okaloosa and Walton County, agent training and recruitment, maintaining customer service satisfaction, and execution of the company growth strategies. The new Destin office is located at 151 Regions Way Suite 4A.
“We selected Marilue for this key role at our new Destin location to ensure the strategic growth of our brand in the Okaloosa County market,” said Hunter Harman, broker/co-owner of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Beach Properties of Florida. “Marilue’s vast experience and knowledge of both the real estate profession and the local community will be an invaluable asset to our Destin-based sale associates and customers.”
A veteran real estate professional with nearly thirty years of experience in the area markets, Maris has called the Emerald Coast home for nearly her entire lifetime. As a recipient of the Okaloosa County Commission on the Status of Woman Wall of Honor, she was the founding chapter president of the Emerald Coast Women’s Council of Realtors® and was instrumental and active in all state and local education for Realtors®. Maris has served on the board of directors and in various committee roles for both the Florida Realtors® and the Emerald Coast Association of Realtors® for decades.
Marilue’s relationship with the Destin community, both personal and professionally began with serving and volunteering on various boards, events and organizations over the years; including the Destin Seafood Festival, the Destin Library Guild Tour of Homes, a lifetime friend of Eden State Gardens in Point Washington, and many more. Along with raising two sons in Destin, she and her husband have enjoyed the area’s assets and are excited about it’s future, with all the wonderful opportunities that now exist in our “Sleepy Little Fishing Village”.
“Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Beach Properties of Florida’s focus on the customer and its goal to provide the best products and service for its sales professionals are what makes the agency the best fit for me,” said Maris. “I look forward to our increased brand presence and market shares for Okaloosa and Walton Counties in the near future”.
