May 2-8,2021, is National Teacher Appreciation Week. Teacher Appreciation Day falls on the Tuesday (May 4) of Teacher Appreciation Week. This week is the time to give our teachers and educator employees the recognition they deserve! 2020 was a challenging year, but every Walton County School District employee has gone above and beyond the call of duty to keep 90% or more of our students returning safely to classrooms safe. Our start date was delayed only five days and there were no schools shut down due to COVID outbreaks or exposures. It has been an EPIC year despite the unprecedented challenges.
We invite your business to help us show our gratitude for all Walton County School District employees during this week. Partner with us to provide a “perk” or a note on your webpage or signage; this would speak volumes to our employees. Other suggestions include offering a discount on purchases or services, a “take one” display or special gift. Each participating establishment will be included in a business participant’s guide directing our educators where to shop! Eligible employees will present their District photo ID to receive your generous offer.
If you are interested in partnering with us for this special week of recognition and want more information, please contact our Community Engagement Coordinator, Lori Hughes, at 850-892-1100 ext. 1505 by Thursday, April 29, 2021.
We hope you will help us make this Teacher Appreciation Week one Walton County employees won’t forget!
