WALTON COUNTY FIRE RESCUE KNOCKS DOWN RESIDENTIAL FIRE IN GASKIN

Fire truck parked in front of mobile home with smoke coming out of the roofGASKIN, FL— Walton County Fire Rescue knocks down flames coming from a home in Gaskin earlier this evening.

At 5:02 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, Walton County Fire Rescue responded to a home on Hemphill Road following a 911 call reporting a structure fire. The caller stated they could see smoke and flames coming from their brother’s home nearby.

Walton County Fire Rescue crews arrived on scene to find smoke and flames coming from the back right corner of a mobile home. Walton County Fire Rescue quickly deployed an attack line and began battling the blaze.

Florala Volunteer Fire Department, Argyle Volunteer Fire Department, and Liberty Volunteer Fire Department were also called to the scene to assist in water supply.

Walton County Fire Rescue firefighters were able to contain the fire in less than thirty minutes.

Fortunately, all residents and pets made it out of the burning home safely. The fire originated outside of the mobile home.

The American Red Cross was contacted to assist the residents of the disintegrated home.
