Proceeds will benefit Seasons of Hope and South Walton Academy
On Saturday, June 18, Back Beach Barbecue will host their fifth annual “Hog Bash” to celebrate five years in business.
From 12-4 p.m. guests are invited to the Panama City Beach restaurant, located at 19714 Panama City Beach Parkway, to enjoy a smoked whole hog, live music by Boukou Groove, giveaways, and refreshments by local purveyors including Distillery 98 and more. For $15, guests will receive a plate filled with pulled pork, barbeque baked beans, and coleslaw. In honor of Father’s Day, Back Beach Barbecue will host a free-to-enter raffle during the event for a $100 gift card. The winner will be drawn on Sunday, June 19.
To commemorate the restaurant’s anniversary, Back Beach Barbecue will donate a portion of the proceeds to two local organizations, including Seasons of Hope and South Walton Academy. Seasons of Hope is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization offering positive outdoor experiences related to hunting, fishing, camping, and other activities for those terminally ill or physically challenged as well as members of the Armed Forces injured in the line of duty. South Walton Academy is a private, non-profit inclusion school and pediatric therapy clinic in Santa Rosa Beach, Fla. The school serves all children, from age three through 12th grade, while working to bridge the gap between communication and children with autism. The new therapy clinic provides speech and occupational therapy to all children up until they are 18 years old.
“Even when we’re celebrating our accomplishments, we want to give back and honor our local community,” said owner Danny Cosenzi. “They are the reason why we are in business, survived a pandemic, and continue to show up to work, day-after-day. Both organizations are close to our hearts, and we hope everyone will come out on Saturday to help us raise money and support them.”
This event is free and open to the public to attend. To learn more about Back Beach Barbecue and to stay up to date on events, new menu arrivals, and more, like their Facebook page or visit www.backbeachbarbecue.com.
