A jury has convicted Jacob Daniel Price of murdering his parents and killing their two dogs in a case that shocked neighbors in Crestview.

According to the Office of the State Attorney for Florida’s First Judicial Circuit, a twelve-member jury found Price guilty on March 11, 2026, of two counts of First-Degree Premeditated Murder and two counts of Animal Cruelty.

Prosecutors said the killings happened in the early morning hours of November 13, 2019, inside the family’s home. Evidence presented at trial showed Price shot both of his parents while they were sleeping in their bed.

Investigators testified that Price shot his father, Robert Price, twice in the head. His mother, Jolene Price, was shot once in the head.

Authorities said the violence did not stop there. The family’s two dogs — Nala and Cooper — were also killed during the attack. One of the dogs was sleeping in the bed with the victims when it was shot.

Following the verdict, David Oberliesen immediately sentenced Price to two consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole.

The case was prosecuted by Leah Glisson on behalf of State Attorney Ginger Bowden Madden.

Investigators with the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and the Crestview Police Department conducted the investigation.

The verdict brings to a close a case that began more than six years ago and ultimately resulted in a mandatory life sentence for the defendant.
