DEFUNIAK SPRINGS — A 27-year-old man suffered minor injuries after he was struck by a vehicle Monday about 4:15 p.m., according to Lt. Jerry Hall of the DeFuniak Springs Fire Department.
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported that a southbound lane of U.S. Highway 331 was closed at the corner of Live Oak Avenue as emergency personnel tended to the injured bicyclist.
Lt. Hall said the man “got knocked off” his bicycle and received some road rash and scratches.
He was taken to Healthmark Regional Medical Center.
