Alabama man dies in dump truck crash

A man from Seminole, Alabama was killed Friday night after a collision with a dump truck.

James Swope was driving westbound on U.S. Highway 90 in Escambia County in a 2001 Nissan Maxima when he rear ended a dump truck on Highway 90 that had just exited a weigh station, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Swope died from injuries incurred in the crash.

Patrick Bundy, 39, of Roberstdale, Alabama was driving the 1989 Ford dump truck.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor, the report stated.

Any other information is pending a traffic homicide investigation.
