FORT WALTON BEACH — Members of the Rotary Club of Fort Walton Beach planted dozens of crape myrtle trees Saturday at the city’s Recreation Center on Jet Drive.
The club partnered with the Crestview Rotary Club and the Yellow River Soil and Water Conservation District to receive the saplings that were planted.
The project was in support of Rotary International President Ian Riseley’s request that one tree be planted this year for each of Rotary’s roughly 1.2 million members worldwide.
