Brent Everitt said the plane landed before 4 p.m. and was pulled off the roadway and into the entrance of Opal Beach located in the Santa Rosa Area of the Gulf Islands National Seashore. Everitt said there were no injuries in the incident. A male pilot and one passenger were on board the plane, he said.
