Thompson 31Fifty Winery and Crust Artisan Bakery and Italian Restaurant graciously hosted a wine dinner that benefits the Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Centers in Niceville and DeFuniak Springs. Julie Porterfield, CEO of ECCAC commented, “For many years, Mike and Val Thompson, owners of Thompson 31Fifty Wine in California, along with Mark and Kim Fressell, owners of the Crust Artisan Bakery and Italian Restaurant in Santa Rosa Beach, have joined together to create an amazing auction lot of fine wine and exquisite cuisine for our annual gala event. Their generosity has raised thousands of dollars, helping us restore the lives of child abuse victims in our community. We are forever thankful.” The Thompsons are residents of Sandestin, but are back and forth to their Thompson 31Fifty Winery vineyards in the Russian River Valley in Healdsburg, California, where they grow, bottle and sell many fine wines. Mike Thompson added, “It has been my honor to be a supporter of ECCAC, and to serve on their board for many years. The much-needed professional services they provide to help area children is remarkable.” “It was our pleasure to serve our guests rack of lamb, roasted beef tenderloin, and lasagna Bolognese along with numerous side dishes and all pastas made by hand. And, all this for such a worthy cause,” said Crust owners Mark and Kim Fressell. ECCAC’s mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect, protect children in Okaloosa and Walton Counties and restore the lives and futures of these impacted children. Their child-friendly centers house a multidisciplinary team of child protection personnel, prosecutors, law enforcement, DCF, therapists, ECCAC staff and volunteers. The 501-C-3 non-profit organization has provided more than 170,000 services at no cost to over 17,000 children in the past 20 years. For further information, visit www.eccac.org.
