Love to fish? The Bayou Bash 2021 is back and better than ever! Sponsored by the Swivel Sisters Women’s Fishing Club of Port St. Joe, the Bayou Bash Tournament is a free Forgotten Coast event scheduled for May 1st with raffles, the famous mullet toss, and of course FISHING! Also new this year is the creation of a scholarship from the Bayou Bash proceeds for a Gulf County student interested in going into a water related field.
Located at Salinas Park Bayside, this year’s tournament categories include Red Fish, Spotted Trout, Flounder, Inshore Slam, and Mystery Fish with improved payouts! The tournament kicks off on April 30th (Friday night) with a Captain’s Dinner where you can find any rule changes in the tournament, answer any questions that you have concerning the rules, and enjoy an evening with your fellow anglers. This event is open to the public and $5 a plate for any non-registrants.
On Saturday, anglers can put their lines in at first light, weigh-in starts at 4:00 PM ET and must be in line by 6:00 PM ET to weigh-in. Make plans to attend this light-hearted and family-friendly event!
