The Forgotten Coast real estate market began with excitement in 2022 with an increase in contracts in each of its key communities of Apalachicola, Cape San Blas/Indian Pass, Carrabelle, Port St. Joe, and St. George Island as compared to December 2021. There were 46 properties closed during the month with 107 properties currently under contract. St. George Island and Mexico Beach/St. Joe Beach tied for the highest number of transactions with 14 closings each while Cape San Blas had the highest priced property to sell, a gulf front home closing at $2.73 million.
