If you’re looking for a new spot to catch the sunset, enjoy fresh local seafood or stunning rooftop views & a cocktail, The Edge Seafood & SkyBar might just be the place. Owners, Chris & Heather Thomas, welcomed patrons to their new harbor-front restaurant and bar in Destin earlier this month and they’re only just getting started!
The Edge Seafood Restaurant serves “Floridian style alfresco”, offering fresh seafood and produce with a twist. Enjoy specialty menu items such as conch fritters, whole grouper, ceviche and more. Coming soon, the SkyBar on the upper deck features patio lounge seating, fire pits, and high top tables for the ideal adult hangout (18+).
The owners didn’t miss a beat when it came to the small details. The building stands over the water, making for the best panoramic views of the harbor and beyond. The name of the restaurant, The Edge, is representative of the known fishing spot in the Gulf where the continental shelf drops off on the 100-fathom curve. There’s some food for thought! You might also notice the tables that fill the space are made from recycled bowling alley lanes out of Georgia.
It’s a beautiful building and a great opportunity. If we didn’t take it somebody else would. We like doing things a little different and a little better.

Whether you’re just passing through or plan to stay awhile, there are several ways to enjoy The Edge. The restaurant is accessible by boat, with up to 20 spots for boats to dock. In addition to the main restaurant and SkyBar, The Edge also has a fast casual window for ordering a quick bite on the go. Cruise, walk, or ride on over to The Edge Seafood Restaurant & SkyBar to experience this new great spot for yourself. Enjoy!
