You Say Bloody, We Say Mary!

On Saturday, November 2 from 11 am - 2 pm, The Market Shops will host its 5th Annual Bloody Mary Festival benefiting Habitat for Humanity of Walton County! The annual event will feature unlimited tastes of the South Walton's most creative and innovative bloody marys made with Cathead Vodka and served by the finest restaurants and bars on the Emerald Coast. In addition to the bloody marys, event goers will also enjoy craft beer served by Grayton Beer Company along with champagne, cigars, boozy popsicles, and various food and shopping options provided by The Market Shops merchants. There will be TVs live streaming various SEC football games throughout the afternoon as well as music by DJ Dad and a live performance on the main stage by local's favorite Dread Clampitt. Tickets are currently on sale for $40 at themarketshops.com or can be purchased the day of the event at the door for $50.

The Market Shops will host the OneBlood Big Red Bus®  for a blood drive on Friday, February 22, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the parking lot adjacent to Highway 98.
 
 OneBlood is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) community asset responsible for providing safe, available and affordable blood. Generally healthy people ages 16 or older who weigh at least 110 pounds can donate blood. Photo ID is required. All donors receive a wellness checkup of blood pressure, pulse, temperature and iron count, including cholesterol screening. Donors will also receive a OneBlood t-shirt and a kid’s scoop of ice cream from Ben & Jerry’s in The Market Shops.
If you are curious if you are a candidate for donation or to learn more about the importance of blood donation and how donors can target the power of their blood type, visit oneblood.org.

Gear Up for 2019 Events
The 2019 Winter Concerts are here! Mark your calendars for January 19th with David Seering and February 20th with Ron Adams. Both of these events are free and open to the public. The Market Shops will host the OneBlood Big Red Bus®  for a blood drive on Friday, February 22, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the parking lot adjacent to Highway 98.
 
 OneBlood is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) community asset responsible for providing safe, available and affordable blood. Generally healthy people ages 16 or older who weigh at least 110 pounds can donate blood. Photo ID is required. All donors receive a wellness checkup of blood pressure, pulse, temperature and iron count, including cholesterol screening.

This Thursday, November 15th, The Market Shops will be hosting the Walton Area Chamber of Commerce for their Business After Hours event while also celebrating The Market Shops Five-Year Anniversary. 

As you walk around and explore, there will be complimentary cocktails, light bites, and live music performed by Boukou Groove in the Gazebo Courtyard! 
The event is FREE for Chamber members and $10 for non-members.

Amavida Coffee Roasters has recently been listed as one of 203 companies in the B Corp community who are recognized as Changemakers. Three of their coffees also recently earned bronze medals while another earned silver in the national roasting competition: the Golden Bean Awards! 
This silver medal recognizes their Espresso Mandarina as the 14th best in the country! 
Amavida Coffee Roasters continues to host regular Roaster Tours & Coffee Tastings on the second Thursday of each month! The next event is November 8th.
