For the past 13 years, the 30A Songwriters Festival has attracted thousands of dedicated live music fans from around the country to hear original songwriters spanning many genres of music perform their songs. The beach resort towns along Highway 30A on the Gulf of Mexico feature 30 venues presenting over 200 songwriters and 300+ solo, band and in-the-round performances throughout the weekend of January 13 – 16, 2023. Located in the Zarzaur Law building complex, Slick Lips Pensacola promises the same fresh seafood and family friendly environment that can be found at the original location, nestled in the heart of the Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin® Golf and Beach Resort. The name “Slick Lips” was chosen from the popular nickname among fisherman for Amberjack who don’t have any teeth. Education Theatre Programming Performances  Emerald Coast Theatre Company’s High School theatre program presents The Edgar Allan Poe Afterlife Radio Show on Friday, October 28th, 7:30 pm and Saturday, October 29th, 2:30 pm. A tap at a chamber door and the beat of a hideous heart evoke the very best and creepiest of Edgar Allan Poe. So when Poe sets out to keep his stories alive from beyond the grave, an otherworldly radio studio proves just the thing.
